Who's teaching

Melany.

She built her salon on Pitkin Avenue one client at a time, and made her name on the balayage people cross Brooklyn for.

FAQ

Before you ask.

Which class is right for me?+

New to hair? Cutting Foundations. Already working and want stronger color? Color & Balayage. Going independent? Add Salon-Ready Business. Unsure — text us your goal and Melany will point you.

Do I need experience?+

No. Cutting Foundations starts from zero. Color & Balayage welcomes beginners and working stylists alike.

What does it cost, and when?+

Pricing and dates vary by class and group size — we send the current schedule the same day you reach out, with no obligation.

Is this a cosmetology license?+

No — you earn a Melany's Beauty Academy Certificate of Completion for hands-on training. New York State licensure is a separate process; we'll explain how the two fit together.

Can I take it in Spanish?+

Sí — Melany teaches in English and Spanish. Tell us your preference when you reserve.
